He was a champion Bull Rider and was already considered to be one of the best in the business, but his life came to an abrupt end on Monday. 25-year-od Ty Pozzobon died suddenly. Ty was based out of Merritt, British Columbia and competed tirelessly in the United States.
According to Kamloops This Week, his death is “not considered to be suspicious and the investigation has been turned over to the BC Coroners Service.”
“Ty Pozzobon was a cowboy through and through and loved being a professional bull rider,” PBR CEO Sean Gleason said in a statement. “His infectious personality and enthusiasm for doing what he loved touched so many of us, and we will remember him always.”
Ty was projected to be one of the biggest contenders of the 2017 Bull Riding World Title and was on track to be one of the youngest to do so. Ty’s family is devastated and is asking for all the prayers in the world during these difficult times.
He is survived by his parents Luke and Leanne, his sister, Amy, and his wife, Jayd. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Pozzobon’s family and friends during this time. The funeral arrangements have yet to be released, but I will inform you right away. Will you send your prayers?
